Scottish born,to care for others
She was going to be no ordinary mother
Her love of wildlife, and nature, plain to see
Above all else, priority for family
”Stand up straight, shoulders back”
A mother’s pride in her newborn pack
With so much love, she gave and had
Very much supporting our loving Dad
Such a bright and enquiring mind
There was always more for her to find
Clear values and guidance she espoused
Emotions ready to be aroused
What a journey, the South West tour
Farming ruled, until seventy four
The Windsor called, with shyness tested
A whole new world, hard work invested
Later years would bring much joy
New Great grandchild, girl or boy
Scampi and chips at the Waterside pub
Tom Jones blaring on the Hi-Fi hub
A welcome smile, a warm embrace
Or the look, that could wilt your face
Fools not suffered, respect to be earned
Her laughter infectious, how much we yearn
She was always there
